Estimated location near CR 241 (aka Sunset Lane) & CR 245.

WCHC’s Vol III, pg 160 by Lester Fisher 1975 updated 1983…”three Forehand Babies buried on a hill just S of Jewel Wheeler’s place near the old lane [possibly Sunset Lane]. Graves were on the Forehand Place which is now called the Jewel Wheeler Place. The location of the graves is on land now owned by Mr. & Mrs. Leo Cauffman.”  [In 1976, Jewell Wheeler sold this land to Dale H. Place.]

NOTE: Is it possible the Forehand Babies’ were buried at the location of the ‘future’ Matsler Cemetery and the cemetery developed around the Forehand Babies’ burials?

In deed document 19769994DR the survey gives the location of a 1.19 acre cemetery.  Per WCAD R327082, Matsler Cemetery is 1.942 acres. In July 1980, Dale Place lived at Rt 1 Box 108, Florence, TX. 

Need to research the survey to see if can pinpoint where the 1.19 acre cemetery is located; and post office routes to find where Rt 1 Box 108 in Florence was located.

Coordinates are centroid of C H Delaney Survey Abstract A-181 where Jewel Wheeler owned property.
