WCHC’s Vol II, pgs 28-29 per Nola Bolding Kinney (granddaughter of J. P. Bolding) “located about 9 miles SW of Bartlett on land now owned by the Julius Gersback Estate. It was known as the Ake Schoolhouse Community. The land was acquired by J. P. Bolding (circa) 1870.” & Martha Schrock 1974 “located 4-1/2 miles S of Schwertner. Two acres deeded to county for cemetery.”

SW of Bartlett.  N FM 972 take CR 318. On CR 318 if you were to go straight ahead in the pasture instead of making the sharp right hand turn in the road it should be around 1/2 to 3/4 mile.

I went to the courthouse today and they helped me locate the Bolding-Stiles cemetery on a map. It
is near CR 318 (I was wrong). It appears to be in the middle of nowhere. John was close when he
walked out there the other day. Look at a map and follow 318 from 972 to the first bend. Then
continue in a straight line with a slight bend to the left for about .6 mile. It appears to be
between two creeks or draws. Actually, as I compare this cemetery with the one at Schwertner, I
realize that the symbols on the map are approximate locations.

Looked it up on Google Earth but it is not visible from the air. There is, however, a house that
is accessible from CR 316 which would take us within walking distance. Maybe the next cool cloudy
day John and I can drive over and try to knock on their door. I think somebody is going
to have to guide us to this place. don
