Notes:

Mapped per THC coordinates.

From the junction of FM-112 & CR-450 take CR-450 S to the driveway leading to the first farmhouse you see. From here you can see the cemetery which is just behind the farm buildings. There is no direct access from the farm, but I was given permission to pass through their fence to the cemetery. The cemetery is maintained by the Christ Lutheran Church of Noack, TX (6730-6740 FM 112, Taylor) which is within view of the cemetery perhaps a mile away. The cemetery was established and is maintained by the Christ Lutheran Church of Noack, Texas, which is within view of the cemetery perhaps a mile away. There is another access to the cemetery from a gate (locked) on FM-112 just E of the church. This is how the mowers access the cemetery. The people on the farm have no connection with the cemetery so display your best manners when requesting access through their property. Peter Zieschang moved to the area in 1870. The Christ Lutheran Church was organized in 1891.  Source:  John Christeson on Find-A-Grave.

UPDATE MAY 2019:  A concerned ancestor of pioneers buried in the Zieschang Family Cemetery contacted WCHC to alert us that this cemetery has not been maintained for about 4 years.  It needs to be mowed and headstones need to be repaired and cleaned.  Per the Williamson County Appraisal District, the property owner of the Zieschang Family Cemetery is Morris Zieschang.

In the summer of 2019, the “Cemetery Restoration Volunteers” added this cemetery to their maintenance rotation of 19 cemeteries in Williamson County.  The volunteers are under the direction of WCHC’s Cemetery Committee Chair, Joe Plunkett.  In 2019, there are 9 volunteers, using their own equipment.  Donations received by WCHC help to defray costs of restoring tombstones.
