WCHC’s Vol III, pg 112:  Per Jean Shroyer 1984…”on 40 acre tract, descendants have hunted for the location of the burials & were unable to find them but the information is included in a family history compiled by Dora Knauth Walther. Burials were approximately 1 mile NE of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Theon.”

FindAGrave:   “Theodore Knauth and his wife Henrietta immigrated to America from Germany in the 1880s, arriving by ship in New York. They rode the train to Texas and eventually to Georgetown, where Mr. Knauth hired a hack and took his family to see the Schwertner family, also immigrants, about that time. The Schwertners lived at Corn Hill north of Georgetown. After a few days, Mr. Knauth located some available farm land near Corn Hill, which he bought in February 1882. The family lived for some years, eventually moving to another place. They were a young couple and had several small children. One of the children, a six-year old son, Hugo Knauth, had diphtheria and died October 12, 1883. His father built a small pine casket, and he was buried on their farm near a clump of trees and a small branch. Within two years, another child, Anna Knauth, who lived only seven days, died and was buried beside her brother. She was born June 7, 1885. The family descendants do not know whether any markers were placed at the graves, but many years later, after the family had moved away from that first farm, descendants hunted for the location of the burials and were unable to find them. The family kept extensive records, however, and this information is included in a family history which was compiled by Mrs. Dora Knauth Walther.

Burials were approximately one mile northeast of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Theon.
