Longtime Georgetown resident, J. C. Johnson, was interviewed by Laura Sue Smith on May 13, 2010 regarding the Old Georgetown Cemetery.
In Laura Sue Smith’s interview of J.C. Johnson, he clarifies misunderstandings regarding the various local cemeteries and talks about some of the folks buried in the Old Georgetown Cemetery, both black and white. He discusses efforts to preserve the cemetery over the years, some successful and some not so much. J. C. makes it very clear that there is a wagon-load of Georgetown history exuding from the tombstones in the Old Georgetown Cemetery.
